Winter magic in Uderns
Uderns, a cosy village in the easy-to-reach “First Holiday Region in the Ziller Valley”, is a popular winter holiday destination for active sports enthusiasts as well as for guests looking for peace and relaxation.
The village lies right in the middle of two ski areas, Hochzillertal-Hochfügen and Spieljoch.
You can also get to many other ski areas throughout Ziller Valley in no time from our hotel. Winter sports fans and nature lovers will also find plenty to do away from the slopes in Uderns.

You can take the free ski buses from the hotel to to Hochzillertal, Hochfügen and Spieljoch.
The Zillertal Railway (a 5-minute walk to the station) also takes you free of charge to the Ski-Zell, Zillertal Arena, Mayrhofen-Penken and Ahorn ski areas, or you can change trains in Mayrhofen to get to the Hintertux Glacier.

Winter hiking
What could be more delightful than enjoying the breathtaking winter scenery of the Zillertal mountains on a snowshoe tour or a winter walk? The region offers 50 km of perfectly groomed winter hiking trails. The Tourist Board also offers guided hikes.
Cross-country skiing
The wide and sunny basin in which Uderns is located offers ideal conditions for cross-country skiers. 55 km of prepared tracks, an extensive network of tracks between the villages and optimal support provided by the cross-country skiing schools and service points offer thrills for all cross-country skiers. Fresh mountain air, glittering snow crystals and imposing mountain scenery – what more could you possibly want?
Ice skating & tobogganing
There are a number of ice rinks (artificial or natural ice) in the First Holiday Region in the Ziller Valley, which you can also use at night.
Our region also has natural toboggan runs, some of which are floodlit at night, which will get your adrenalin pumping. Whether in the bright sun or under a starry sky: tobogganing is always fun. There are also various cosy mountain huts along the way offering fun party nights. You can hire toboggans and ice skates. There is nothing to stop you from having fun ice skating or tobogganing.
