Ski areas around Uderns
The Hochfügen-Hochzillertal and Spieljoch ski areas are just a few minutes away from Hotel Erzherzog Johann. You can get there easily and for free by bus or you can take your own car.
Families & kids on the Spieljoch
The Spieljoch family-friendly ski area has 21 km of slopes, a total of 8 cable cars and lifts, two magic carpets conveyors for kids as well as a training lift for those taking their first steps in the snow: Interactive ski map for Spieljoch Families, children and beginners have right of way here ;-)!
Hochfügen - Hochzillertal
In the Hochfügen and Hochzillertal Kaltenbach ski area, 171 km of slopes and 38 lifts up to 2,500 metres are waiting to be conquered: Interactive ski map for Hochfügen-Hochzillertal.
A wide range of slopes to suit all abilities, countless mountain huts for cosy stop offs and first rate ski schools guarantee memorable winter thrills for skiers and snowboarders of all ages.
Freeride Hotspot
Hochfügen is famous for its deep powder snow slopes, which you can reach easily with the help of cable cars, ski lifts and the occasional short walk. The Freeride Point Hochfügen always provides the latest avalanche reports, weather reports, all the equipment you need plus special maps so that you can be safe when out in open terrain. You can also book mountain guides, ski guides and lessons, rent specialist rucksacks and test out the latest freeride and variant skis here.
Night skiing
If you cannot get enough of the slopes, you can also do a few runs at night.
From the end of December until mid-March, night skiing is available every Friday from 19:00 to 22:00 from the middle station to the valley station (red slope).
Hochzillertal snowpark
The Almdudler Betterpark snowpark is a popular meeting place for the snowboarder and freestyler scene. The park consists of many kickers and a jib line with boxes and rails and also has its own lift.
