Spieljochbahn gondola & Schaubergwerk show mine
This is a starting point for superb hikes. You will also find a kids’ climbing garden, barefoot trail and playground here. On the trail of mining history in Fügen/Fügenberg, you reach the Spieljoch show mine from the upper station of the Spieljochbahn on the Knappensteig (miners trail) in about 45 minutes.

Achensee steam train / Achensee steamboat / Zillertal Railway
Take a ride on the romantic Zillertal Railway and experience what travel was like back in the olden days. The station is just a 3-minute walk from Hotel Erzherzog Johann. Jenbach used to be an important intersection for road and rail traffic in Unterinntal. The two steam trains still bear witness of this today on their daily journey north to the Achensee and south into the Ziller Valley.
Follow the Gerlos Alpine road over the Gerlos Pass (1,600 m) to the Krimml Waterfalls, which are one of the largest natural waterfalls in Europe. The water drops an impressive 380 m!
The mine railway takes you 800 m into the mountain. There you follow the footsteps of the miners, who toiled at the seams of silver and copper some 500 years ago. It is an extraordinary underground experience.
Museum of Tyrolean Farmhouses in Kramsach

Wattens, home to Swarovski Crystal Worlds, is well worth a visit. The internationally renowned Austrian songwriter and performance artist André Heller has created a water-spouting giant with an enchanting wonderland of crystals inside.
